There’s a lot of hum in the Christian community about the effect the Web has on ministries. There is a thing to be said for this kind of Christian witnessing. You can worship Jesus from in front of your PC, but you need to also worship him with other followers. For some, Christian Fellowship may begin with the web, but it can’t end with the Net. Christian ministries need to spread the news of God in the world, and followers need a community around them to help them remain constant to God’s trail. Only in that way can we make certain a church stays robust and true to its guidelines. On your own, it is so easy to evangelise one thing and do another. With fellow followers you are more likely to be held responsible for your actions.

Great article. I think many start-ups get stuck in the idea of ?It has to represent everything the company does? mentality and that makes for some bad design. If your brand is strong and your company becomes visible your logo will come to represent everything you stand for.

I designed a logo with colors and gradients for a group of doctors (see http://ohiogi.com). They like it, but aren’t too happy with the printing costs. Yeah, prices have come down, but not enough yet, I guess.Also, I don’t think you can use a famous logo to make a point about style. E.g., I’m not sure Westighouse (or even IBM/Coke, for that matter) would be considered if designed good today. They look good now because we’ve been seeing them for ages.
